Khayyat Isa
“I am very excited to announce that Khayyat will be patrolling center at Ubisoft Field for the next few years. We set a goal for this offseason to upgrade in center field. As you know, our home park has very generous outfield dimensions. Not just anyone can play center field in Ubisoft. I am confident that he will improve our outfield defense at home and away with his range and his sure hands.
“The same speed that serves him so well in the field is also part of his offensive game. Khayyat had over 20 steals each of the last four seasons, and we believe that he can improve on that. Our coaches are eager to work with him.
“Finally, I’ll finish my remarks by noting that he was a team captain in Louisville. He is a leader both on and off the field. I expect him to fit in very well with our existing veteran leadership.”
Isa stepped to the podium.
“When I heard that Montreal was interested, I told my agent to make it happen. I am thrilled to be joining a club with pennant expectations and a winning culture. Thank you.”
