Re: Development Lab Results #3
Comments : C Nelson Fleming was sent to the devlab to work on his baserunning. He has a very good eye and is expected to be on base more often. He worked on his path on the bases and getting reads on grounders and flyballs. He performed well and is deemed successful but the only movement in stats+ was a drop in weight which can be attributed to all that running.
1B Aurelio Garcia was tasked with improving his defense at first base. He performed everything to standard, but he hasn’t shown anything that reflects that he is better now. On the good side, he isn’t any worse. The devlab is turning into a weight loss program as stats+ reflects Garcia lost a couple of pounds.
2B Arata Ine was also sent to the devlab to improve his defense. He didn’t have the athleticism to implement the changes coaches were suggesting. He needs to put in more work with his coaches in San Juan. It seems he snuck off to another part of the devlab as his Contact Potential bumped a point according to stats+.
Finally, 3B Rodrigo Maldonado was successful in his task to improve his baserunning. He’s not going to set the world on fire, but he should make less mistakes while on base. Nothing to report from stats+.
The Development Lab is now closed until next offseason.
