Pak not making the top 10 list is the most Madison thing ever. I expect Mike to get a lot of bad trade offers involving him by morning.

Really good listen. For my entire OOTP career, I played on a 2-8 ratings scale so listening to veteran BBA GMs talk about prospects is really helpful.

Fun episode guys. I most enjoyed Chad’s patience with how high Simon prioritizes defense lol

Lol. It’s important but at some point someone has to score. Though, I feel players are far more likely to bump offensively than defensively, so that could be a smart move.BaseClogger wrote: ↑Sat Jul 08, 2023 11:36 amFun episode guys. I think defense might be more important in the near future than it's been in a long time.Dington wrote: ↑Sat Jul 08, 2023 4:20 pmLol. It’s important but at some point someone has to score. I still would have gave the 18 year old 10 power, 7 eye kid a spot on the top 10 list though.
3-4 years ago, the league was filled with 9, 10, even 11 contact hitters. A 5 contact SS was almost unplayable in that environment. He was an automatic out. Soon 7 and 8 contact will be really good and 6 about average. So a really good defensive player with 5 contact will be a lot more productive than now and especially a few years ago.

Re: Brewster's Babies | 55.02 Madison Wolves
Agree with all that, however, still would only want a 5 contact 3 power guy if his IF range is 11. A 9 or 10 might not cut it, even if average defensive ratings take a dip in the future.ae37jr wrote: ↑Sat Jul 08, 2023 4:47 pmI think defense might be more important in the near future than it's been in a long time.Dington wrote: ↑Sat Jul 08, 2023 4:20 pmLol.
