Boise actually had a dominate Sim #22 (recapped here) going 5-1 against New Orleans and Charlotte. The Spuds are now 0.5 game above the Wild Card threshold.

In the final month of the season and in the middle of a postseason chase, GM Ben Teague decided to give Kubo a shot in place of lefty P Mauro Mendoza who booked a 4.43 ERA in August after 5.83 in July. Kubo rewarded him with 2 stellar starts this Sim. He took the hill first against New Orleans and went 7 innings allowing only 1 run, 2 hits, and gathering 5 strikeouts. He returned for a contest against Charlotte and allowed only 1 run yet again in 6.1 innings. Combined, Kubo tossed 13.1 innings allowing 2 runs on 3 hits with 9 strikeouts.

Allen was pretty much on fire in Sim #22. He drove in 9 runs while slashing .333/.353/1.067 and delivering 3 HR and 9 RBI. He will be a key piece for Boise if they reach the playoffs so here's hoping he stays hot.
