The air was electric at Denny's Paul D. Lunn Memorial Stadium Presented by Subaru on the night of July 28, 2055.
It was the debut of Joseph Mother, affectionately known as Your Mom, and thousands of fans packed the ballpark in homemade and pirated MOTHER 69 jerseys. Some even resorted to duct tape on a white T-shirt, as the jerseys from the Official Talons Merch store had crashed the servers within minutes of their debut. Only a few hundred had actually been processed of the more than 200,000 orders received since the news of Mother's promotion weas made public.
But the fans were shocked and dismayed when the home team took the field, and audible gasps were heard when the crown realized that their hero had donned a plain #2 jersey with no name on the back. As it turned out, the Talons were forced to send out their star rookie in this condition due to a theft in the home clubhouse before pregame warmups. All of Your Mom's jerseys had been stolen!
