2035-29: Talons Announce Trade Deadline Boycott

The trade deadline in the BBA is fast approaching. But the Talons aren't having any of it.
 
"Well there goes the Commish again, asking about trade blocks. SMH," said the Talons GM. His statement was all the more perplexing due to the fact that he actually sounded out the letters 'S', 'M', and 'H' as he spoke, presumably referring to the modern abbreviation for 'shaking my head'.
 
He continued. "The Talons are officially boycotting this year's trade deadline. We see no reason to participate. It's not like we are contending, and it's not like we're rebuilding. So why take the chance of being ripped off?" the GM stated. "I don't really want to have to sit here next season and explained why the players I traded away are all over the leaderboards, while the ones I traded for are either hurt or have a first class ticket on the Lumpville Express," he quipped.
 
"So the Talons will not be making any trades until further notice, or until we get a really good unsolicited offer. Whichever comes first."
 
It remains to be seen if he was serious.
