"With the 35th pick in the 2057 draft your Charm City Jimmies select P José Flores" stated Jimmies legend Quinton Lara via video conferance during the BBA annual first year player draft. Lara would know a thing or two about pitchers having caught Jimmies pitchers for parts of 10 seasons. The now retired veteran had this to say about Flores "He's a really good human. Everything I've heard about him is that he's a hard worker who is receptive to input from coaches. I also noticed him being a bit of a commanding presence. Just a solid young man who I'm excited about for the franchise."
Ground and Pound:
"Ground and Pound." Something that is more associated with the Ravens football team, Flores was described as such by pitching coach Juan Parades. Parades continued "He's got a very heavy ball that causes a lot of balls to be hit on the ground, our scout said they felt the ball was even a little heavier this season as we felt he was throwing with a bit more movement. I'm excited to see what he can do."
Not Everyone Was Happy:
While team officials and personnel were happy about the selection, not every member of the Jimmies organization was thrilled with the selection of Flores. After the pick was solidified "GOD DAMN IT" was heard being yelled from the head groundskeeper Jim Meale. Shortly after the selection was made reporters heard "C'mon Dave you know how hard it is to have the perfect lawn for our park! It takes the right combination of water, pH, and worms! We're not going to be able to keep the grounds of Old Bay Park at Camden Yards looking as pristine as they do right now if we have this fucking guy killing worms by putting all of these balls on the ground!" It was quiet for a few minutes, but shortly there after we saw Meale storming from the GM office with a scowl on his face. Just a few hours later we saw a large order heading to the groundskeeper grounds that included plenty of large buckets, cardboard, and potting soil. Rumors are that to appease Meale GM Dave Burcicki purchased the matierials for a state of the art earthworm colony that'll help ease the loss of Old Bay Parks most unknown field personel.

We're stacking our pitching staff with groundball specialists. Perhaps we can have an intern worm his way inside Camden Yards to learn how this works.
