Arcs of Triumph: 25.06 July/August The Slide Continues

After having our worst month of the season in June, the Patriots downward slide continued through July and August. Early in July, it appeared the offense would once again carry us through a month as Paris started 6-2, but then the offense began to sputter and the Pats dropped 11 of 13 in the middle of the month. Luckily, they would put together a 4 game win streak to close out the month. The pitching really picked up in August and once again the month started with much promise and a 5-4 record. But once again, a mid-month losing spell (10 of 12) would drop the Patriots well below .500; and again they would close out on a tear, winning 7 of 8.

The injuries continue to pile up and we have 7 of the 20 EBA players currently out with injuries on our roster and our 8 60-day DL stints has to be as much as the rest of the league combined. But still, we soldier on and a fortunate dry spell from London has kept us in the thick of the playoff race.
