I don't need to imagine. I won the division in the forgotten 2017 season. You could have added '17', '18, and '19 to that list of division championships.
That season will never be forgotten by me.

So the guy I drafted 1) wouldn't even talk to me and 2) signed back into the EBA so I can't even match his deal if I wanted to? What a lovely waste of 10 PPT.

You can match EBA deals. Unless it's subminimum, then what we do is generally assign the player to the team at league minimum.

This whole not talking to teams is getting old. Look up Christian Raines. For the most part a hack. Won't talk to me. Getting very frustrating.

Oh? Wasn't aware of that. Thanks for the heads up. I dunno where I thought I read that. :coffee:

Moulin got 5,780,000 over 5 years from Paris. We will match.

I don't understand the hate for this mechanic. I get that it is frustrating because its new but all its really doing is driving role player salaries down. Winning teams rosters are fairly full at this point so most of these guys won't suddenly go missing. The longer they wait to talk to teams the lower their demands will be. With lower role player salaries people will have dough to keep their stars. This could end up being great for the league.

The only thing that I could think would really be bad is if they wait too long to talk to MBBA teams with lower success, and start signing in the EBA. Now that would be a problem.

This feels to me like a game of musical chairs, but by the time the music has stopped, there is no one worth signing that will make a meaningful difference.
