A Seattle Storm Monthly Recap - September 2000
April Record: 12-14

Top Batter

CF Armando Santos

25 95 21 36 8 2 2 15 21 10 15 11 .379 .496 .568 1.064
Santos continues to put up huge numbers, but this month he really kicked it up a notch, reaching base nearly every other at bat!

Top Pitcher

SP Ramon Ayala

3 1 0 1 0 2.75 5 5 39.3 28 13 12 7 6 36 .86 .194 .208
One of the lone bright spots on the pitching staff during the month of September, the team is hoping this production sticks around all season in 2001.

Biggest Surprise
Image
1B [http://baseballretrospective.com/MBBA/s ... er_id=1399]Ismael Perdomo[/url]
G AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI BB K SB CS AVG OBP SLG OPS
8 34 7 13 1 0 0 5 2 5 0 0 .382 .417 .412 .828
Called up for the September tryouts, Perdomo may have played his way into a spot on the roster next season as McHugh's platoon partner.

Biggest Disappoinment
Image
SP Joshua Noble
W L SV CG SHO ERA G GS IP HA R ER HR BB K WHIP OAVG BABIP
2 2 0 0 0 9.13 6 4 22.7 44 24 23 5 8 19 2.29 .415 .476
Nobles struggles continue as he has another bad month after a good month. He finishes the season working out of the bullpen...

Top Prospect
Since the minor league season is now over, this award will highlight the top prospect in the organization.
Image
SP Mike Williams
G GS W L SV ERA IP HA R ER HR BB K CG CG% SHO QS QS%
9 9 7 2 0 1.75 72.0 49 21 14 2 16 82 4 44.4 0 8 88.9
Once he hit the field in July, Mike Williams never looked back. He vaulted all the way to the top of the prospect list for the Seattle organization, and even managed to learn a new pitch as well. He has the potential to force his way into the Seattle rotation sooner rather than later.
