A Seattle Storm Monthly Recap - July 2000
April Record: 11-13

Top Batter

24 97 16 36 7 2 3 19 8 10 0 0 .371 .421 .577 .998
There were a few candidates that stood out during July, but it was Mora who helped keep the ship steady after the major moves that occurred during the month.

Top Pitcher

Once again, the top pitcher for the month is a reliever. After being such a plus the first few months of the season, the pitching staff has really regressed.

Biggest Surprise

G AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI BB K SB CS AVG OBP SLG OPS
24 91 12 32 6 3 1 14 5 13 0 0 .352 .392 .516 .908
A legit candidate for the Top Batter award, he does make the list as the biggest surprise. He was considered the lesser of the two players in the trade that also brought in Bernard Masselli and shipped out Merino and Randall.

Biggest Disappoinment

SP Joshua Noble
W L SV CG SHO ERA G GS IP HA R ER HR BB K WHIP OAVG BABIP
1 3 0 0 0 9.51 5 5 23.7 33 26 25 7 9 23 1.77 .340 .371
The rough decline of Joshua Noble's season continues. Counted on to be a top of the rotation starter, Noble is struggling to stay in the rotation at all.

Top Prospect
A peek at the top prospect in the organization over the full course of the season. The person listed here is the guy that the team feel will have the best impact on the biggest stage of all.

SP Mike Williams
G GS W L SV ERA IP HA R ER HR BB K
5 5 4 1 0 1.25 43.1 31 9 6 1 6 38
An insane workaholic, Mike Williams phenomenal July easily vaulted him to the top of the prospect board for Seattle. Rumor has it he is also working on a new pitch that could make him even more dangerous...
