A Seattle Storm Monthly Recap - May 2000
April Record: 14-14

Top Batter

CF Armando Santos

27 105 25 39 4 1 6 18 19 10 15 9 .371 .472 .600 1.072
As good as he was in April, Santos was even better in May! Raising his OBP up to .472, and keeping his OPS over 1.000, he continues to be the engine that drives this team.

Top Pitcher

0 1 8 0 0 2.19 12 0 12.3 5 5 3 1 10 14 1.22 .125 .160
Piippo was just an afterthought in Spring Training, and in April, but after being asked to take over the closer role, he found his calling. Opponents simply could not hit his stuff. While still wild at times, in the closer role, that has made him even more dangerous.

Biggest Disappoinment

SP Joshua Noble

1 3 0 0 0 7.04 5 5 23.0 28 19 18 7 6 18 1.48 .295 .296
After a very impressive April, teams started figuring Joshua out, and he has struggled since. Expectations within the organization are high for him...the question is simply whether he will step up or not.

Top Prospect
A peek at the top prospect in the organization over the full course of the season. The person listed here is the guy that the team feel will have the best impact on the biggest stage of all.

SP Sean Farrell
G GS W L SV ERA IP HA R ER HR BB K
6 6 3 2 0 3.86 37.1 35 19 16 0 10 43
Sean takes over the Top Prospect watch list with an impressive May, and has been moving up the prospect board for the team, and definitely looks to make an impact sooner rather than later.
