WHIV 2059.4- Checking The Locks: Relief Pitchers

Sure Fire Locks (2):
Todd Stone, RHP- Of course he's a part of the pen.

Carlton Casson, LHP- Our favorite aging LOOGY and power left-handed bat returns!

Near Locks (3):
Kyle McKinlay, RHP- Only question is the remote possibility he wins a starting rotation slot.

Adamnan Maryadi, RHP- Las Vegas thinks they signed a very talented reliever capable of handling multiple inning outings in Maryadi.

Eric Buckson, RHP- Barring a trade, Buckson will return in the Hustlers' bullpen.

Trying To Break In (8):
Hai-lang Jianbua, RHP- This 28 year old righty pitched pretty well in his second BBA opportunity last year. Out of options.

Philippe Lucas, RHP- A Rule 5 pick last year, he stuck the whole season with the Hustlers and ended up being really, really good. Also out of options, seems like a good bet for to make the club.

Mike Alexander, RHP- If he doesn't make the rotation, will the Hustlers put his $9M salary in the bullpen?

Carlos Barrera, RHP- He's been on the shuttle from Milwaukee to Las Vegas the past few seasons, but now out of options, he'll have to make this team.

Juan Garza, RHP- Also out of options (sensing a theme here?) Garza will need to show that his success in the minor leagues can translate to the BBA level.

Javier Parra, RHP- He actually has an option year remaining so that means he has a near zero chance of making the team if Vegas wants to keep depth in numbers.

Faqih bin Nasser, RHP- Added to the 40 man roster last season, seems like he's very precariously hanging on to that spot right now.

Phil Franklin, LHP- Snagged him from Nashville in the Rule 5 Draft last year, ultimately doing a trade to be able to send him down. Added to the 40-man roster this offseason again. The lack of left-handers in camp gives Franklin some hope.

Breaking In The Back Door (2):
Ajanidha Praveen, RHP- Weird offseason. The Hustlers invested in converting him to a reliever and then he became a free agent anyway. They signed him and invited him to camp, but the conversion didn't do much to improve his chances.

Alan Puckeridge, RHP- This guy could be the next "45" rated reliever that makes an impact for the Hustlers. With only 13 career appearances above A-level, he'll probably have to get some more minor league experience first.

Todd Stone is stone cold. Worth the money.
