The King's Own Marauders - 1996:2

A 5-5 sim for the Marauders dropped them two games further back behind the division leading Seattle Storm, but all is not lost in Calgary, at least according to GM John Stephens.

"We're doing okay here," Stephens said. "There is some line-up tinkering going on, trying to get some guys who aren't hitting well right now to pick it up in a new spot in the line-up. We'll figure out where each of these guys fit best, and then we'll see what happens."

GM John Stephens arrived in town and immediately blasted Boerner for the bad season he's having. Frank responded to his new GMs challenge by hitting .351 with two home runs in the ten games following Stephens arrival. The team is hopeful this in the beginning of a season turnaround for him.

Nestor Suarez
No Marauder pitcher was actually impressive this sim, but Nestor gets the prize for his 6 innings of shutout baseball in two appearances, and for picking up two of the team's five wins in the sim. He struck out two hitters and surrendered two hits in those six innings.
