Stinson Hits #600

Calgary’s Larry Stinson joined the illustrious list of BBA players to top 600 home runs, when he hit his 600th on July 17, 2055 against Jacksonville. Three days later Stinson notched his 2500th hit and was awarded his second JL Player of the Week this year. He was also named the JL Player of the Month for July.

Stinson is in his 8th year with the Pioneers after beginning his career in San Antonio. In 14 seasons he has hit 40 or more home runs in 12 of them. His lowest season total was 37 two seasons ago. By seasons end, Stinson had increased his home run total to 624 putting him 10th on the BBA All Time list.

What is remarkable about the Home Run leaders list is that Stinson only ranks 4th among active players and 8 out of the 16 players with over 600 homers are currently playing.

Stinson finished the 2055 season hitting .311, with 54 home runs. This was the second time in his career he topped 50 homers in a season. Stinson led the JL with 158 RBIs, .648 SLG and 1.016 OPS, He also tied for the JL lead with 4.1 ZR at 1B.
