Hamza 'Mouth' bin Uthman
Bin Uthman looks like the prototype Blazer hitter. He hits for average, has strong power into the gaps, rarely strikes out, and possesses the speed to turn singles into doubles and doubles into triples. Up to now, teams have played him in the outfield corners, but despite his speed he has not demonstrated the range needed to patrol the vast spaces of Ubisoft Field. The Blazers intend to convert him to play first base, where his 6'3" height should play up. They believe that given time, bin Uthman can be an above average defender at first base. Team officials describe him as extremely intelligent, but they downplay his ability to switch hit. They view him as primarily a left-handed hitter.
