It had been ten years since Montreal last held a Blazers Hall of Fame induction. Co-GM Bob Breum said, "Erik and I were surprised when we learned this. We realized that we had a number of players in our history who were in the BBA Hall of Fame, but who hadn't been recognized by our team. We wanted to correct this oversight, and express our appreciation for their contributions to our franchise success."
Attending the ceremony today were all five of the new members of the Blazers HOF: 89-year-old Bolt Vanderhugen (CF 1990-1998), 82-year-old Roman Empire (SS 2002-2007), 71-year-old Ernie Stauffer (2B 2008-2016), 54-year-old Cisco Guerrero (1B 2027-2034), and 53-year-old Jared Gillstrom (SS 2026-2033). Also present were existing HOFers Duane Whitley and Ettiene LaFitte.
