After a slow start the Stars ended up witha 14-12 April and now have pulled within a half of game behind the Hawaii Tropics..The offense still is strugging[.266 tm BA] while the pitching is looking very good [3.38 era, 1st in the JL]..

APRIL HIGHLIGHTS
1B Edwin Pyburn goes 4-4 against the Chicago Black Sox, with 1 RBI and 2 runs scored. Pyburn got the starting role this year and so far is looking good...he is hitting .333 3 9 so far through April..
Vet OF Gary Barr hits 2 home runs against the Phoenix Talons, going 2-5 with 2 RBI and 2 runs scored. Barr of to a great start hitting .312 6 14 through April...
OF DeMario Davis goes 4-5 against the Baltimore Monarchs, with 1 RBI and 1 runs scored. Davis is hitting .267 but has 6 doubles, 1 triple and 4 homers in April....
2B Caleb Boyette had an outstanding April hitting .420 7 doubles, smashed 8 homers and drove in 15 runs....
