Utbah ‘Crawdad Me’ bin Muta made the start for Hawaii going four innings allowing three runs on six hits and three walks with two Ks. He falls to 1-1 with a 1.42 ERA.

Game 2- The Valencia Stars jumped on the Hawaii Tropics for three runs in the 1st inning and then kept adding to the lead as they sweep the two-game set. Hawaii starter Gerardo Rea allowed five runs, four of them earned, on four hits and a walk. He struck out five but falls to 0-4 with a 6.00 ERA.

Rea lamented, “I don’t know what’s happened. I’m wild one start then throw in the zone the next. I just can’t get those near strikes that I need.”

John Moore was the only bright spot on the mound all day with 1.2 scoreless innings. He allowed a hit and fanned four batters.

SS Thomas Kramer was 1 for 4 with his 3rd homer of the season. Carlos Sanchez was 0 for 2 with a fielder’s choice RBI.
