Re: Louisville Sluggers Hall of Fame/Retired numbers
Awesome that you're honoring Martin Lee. We had some awesome GM's in the early years that stuck around forever. Lee was with us almost all of the initial era.

Re: Louisville Sluggers Hall of Fame/Retired numbers
2037 INDUCTEES
In 2037 Louisville opened a new section in their Hall of Fame called "The Pioneers" honouring the men that played for Louisville back when the Monty Brewster Baseball Association first started and set the tone for the hundreds of players that came after them. There were two players inducted at the opening ceremony, the first two players that Louisville had inducted for 10 years.
THE PIONEERS
Fred Mahaffey is the first player inducted in the new Louisville Hall of Fame "The Pioneers" section. The purpose of this area of the Hall is to honour the players that played for Louisville in the Monty Brewster Baseball Association right in the beginning, even before the reboot. They might not all have the long careers of many a true Hall of Famers but they were the pioneers that set the tone for the many players that have played for the Sluggers since.
Fred played 1088 games for Louisville between 1983 and 1989, not many years but some of the records he set are still part of the Sluggers Record Book nearly 50 years later. His career batting average of .313 is still joint second in Sluggers history while his .549 SLG & .914 OPS are still second in those categories. He also has the ninth best career total bases (2,289), the fifth best career homers (259) and the sixth best career RBI (843).
He also played 603 games for Las Vegas before he was acquired by Louisville and went on to play a further 624 games for Birmingham after his Louisville stint. He finally retired in 1996 having never played in the rebooted BBA and was inducted to the BBA Hall of Fame in 1998.
Julio Guillerma is the second player inducted into "The Pioneers" section. Lefty Julio played 142 games (141 as a starter) between 1979 and 1983 posting a 74-36 record with an ERA of 2.89. Again whilst he wasn't a Louisville player for long his records remain. His 2.89 career ERA is still the third best by a Louisville pitcher, his winning percentage of .673 is second all time and his 4.4 K/BB is eighth overall. His 1.3 walks/9 and 1.07 career WHIP both still lead the categories 54 years after he left the Sluggers.
Guillerma also played for the Jacksonville Monarchs, the Birmingham Bandits and the Calgary Marauders before he arrived in Louisville as well as 13 game stint with the Honolulu Typhoons in his final career year.
