I hate MLB. TV. Living in Central Texas it blacks out *all* Rangers and Astros games. I have heard of folks subscribing through a proxy url or something, but I'd rather not.

Living in NC, I can watch my White Sox unless they are playing FOUR teams - Baltimore, Washington, Atlanta, and get this, Cincinnati. Somehow, Winston-Salem NC is in the "local area" for the fracking Reds.

I guess I am lucky in Toronto. All Jays games are on TV through Sportsnet. Don't really watch too much of the games that don't involve the Jays.

Anyway, I started the free trial of SiriusXM last night and listened to the tail end of a couple of left coast games.

I buy the MLB Extra Innings package up here in Canada so I can watch Red Sox games, its going to be a rough year for having to deal and listen to all the Jays fans....

I think the SiriusXM Internet radio deal is the best option for me. It is cheap. I am not sure the MLB app (ap?) works for radio-only subscribers, whilst the SiriusXM one does, to my knowledge. Plus the SiriusXM Radio (so no, I do not have one in my car) includes a lot more than baseball.

Yup, just figured that out. It's like 14 or 19$ a month. So MBA radio flat fee (<20$) is a bargain compared to that.
