Yeah.. I missed the good times. 2014 and 2016 were a lot of fun though.

Born in Minnesota, and am a Twins fan. Went to a bunch of games in the Dome as a kid, and still go to Target Field. I'll always love the team despite not winning a playoff game for ages. Shame I wasn't old enough for 1987 or 1991.

The homerdome is a dump and deserves to rot in a fiery grave. That is all.lordtoffee wrote: ↑Sat Jan 23, 2021 10:11 pmBorn in Minnesota, and am a Twins fan. The Dome was a terrible venue to watch baseball, but it was our dump.

Re: Who do you follow?
I was born the year before the Blue Jays came into the league and their rise from expansion team to World Series champs made every kid my age in the Toronto area lifelong fans. As a kid, you don't get that its amazing that in less than 10 years in the league, they were winning the pennant (and barely missing going to WS) and then put together a solid run of seasons culminating in back to back WS. I know I'm biased, but that front office (Paul Beeston and co) is criminally looked over by baseball historians. Also, Dave Stieb was a monster that no one talks about.
I moved out west when I was 19 and my only regret out here is that MLB baseball is so far away and even though baseball is popular, it can't compete with hockey in Western Canada.
On a side note, I got my wife, who is Argentine/Colombian by birth into baseball. She liked going to the dome with me when we went back to Toronto, but wasn't fanatical by any stretch. We took a trip to Wrigley in 2015 and between Anthony Rizzo, Wrigley and our usher named Lenore, she became a fanatical Cubs fan. I can't blame her, seeing a game at Wrigley if you enjoy the game, is a life changing experience.

Cardinals fan. Super excited about the Arenado trade. Bummed about losing Kolten Wong. Super bummed to see him go to the dang Brewers.
