For those of you who aren't in it, Other Reality Baseball 2 (ORB2) is a historical league that started in 1962. We're just starting the 1974 season and we need a GM for the Kansas City Royals.

The first I understand. The latter is a cop-out people love to use, especially given the efforts many of us "larger" market teams are putting forth to make a solution to the financial imbalance.

To pimp the Royals guys, they just made some good moves to stock their team better, and added the number 1 overall pick in the last draft, a stud that goes by the name of Fred Lynn.

They are an up-and-coming team that is ready for a good committed owner!

So this guy goes out and drafts the best player on the board, and likely one of the best players to enter the draft, trades for McCovey, signs a couple of free agents, trades off a few picks to get some vets.. Has a shot to really improve the overall win total of the Royals, and then bolts before the season starts, crying small market?

What a joke!

He didn't even spend a month of game time in the league to see if his moves woudl pay off. The Astros sure seemed able to compete with a lower pay roll.

I would be interested once you swap to OOTP11 but my OOTPX is really slow at the moment and keeps crashing. It's a real pain to do my two leagues on there, so I'm not taking any more 'X' leagues
