Any tips on two way players?
Hi all
Trying to use Carlton Casson as a two-way DH-setup guy but its not working, he's so far only been used once to face one batter despite extra innings/tight games etc.
Settings are fulltime DH vs RHP, Setup 7th and later.
Has anyone got this to work so he's used as both a DH and a 70 innings a year fella? Any tips on settings? I'm now resigned to him just being a lefty setup guy until I work it out.

Do you have use as two way player in game? If not, go to the player strategy and you can check use as two way player to use him.

Hmm, turns out that was on. 'Skip DH when pitching' is also on....hmmmm. Anyway I have set his position to DH to see if that has any effect and put him in the depth chart as every 2nd day.

I'm not sure what you're expecting to happen. If he's the starting DH, he can't enter the game as a pitcher. You will probably have better luck if you keep him out of the starting lineup, making him a pinch hitter/relief pitcher.

This may be an OOTP thing, but per MLB rules the DH can move to a defensive position.

There have been whispers that a couple of my players “go both ways”, but it’s none of my business. Not that there’s anything wrong with that…
