Thunder Bears roster starting to take shape as the preseason rapidly approaches

Ramao "Massacre" Saturnino headlines the signings for Moscow so far. Ramao spent five seasons with the Hawaii Tropics and then was with the Montreal Blazers, where he hit for a.250 average over his final two seasons before becoming a free agent at the end of 2057. The Thunder Bears signed him to a very generous one-year prove-it deal.

Moscow also filled out their pitching rotation by adding Kelyn Lomond and Tye Whitford. Whitford, another longstanding Hawaii Tropics player, spent last season in the Sao Paulo Pilots Organization, where he struggled a bit but was able to string together seven wins for the Pilots. He will try to revive his career with the Thunder Bears and looks forward to the challenge.

Su-Yeong "Bomber" Pak will handle the closer/stopper role for the Thunder Bears. Pak has an above-average fastball combined with a decent splitter and hopefully lives up to his nickname of "Bomber" in a positive way and not a negative one.

There are a lot of new and unknown faces on the Thunder Bears as everyone gets acclimated with their teammates. Stay tuned for more Spring Training news out of Moscow.

Whitford never got a chance in Nashville, but had a couple great years while stuck in my minors before losing him in the Rule 5. Should do really well in the GBC.
