The 2nd Sim saw Buenos Aires offense improve somewhat and the pitching staff playing much better. But it was still a 1-6 Sim that is recapped here.
BRISAS OF THE SIM - SIM #2
Pitcher
P Marvin Winston
3 G, 3 GS, 1-1, 20.0 IP, 2.25 ERA, 0.85 WHIP, +0.5 WAR
Winston is having an excellent month. In Sim #2 he first allowed 3 runs to Sydney in 7 innings but on only 4 hits, then he gained complete redemption with 8 innings of 2-hit, shutout pitching (though the Brisas would go on to lose that game). So, for Sim #2, he went 15 innings allowing 6 hits, 3 runs, striking out 8 and walking only 3.
Batter
LF Roberto Torres
9 G, 5 2B, 3 HR, 8 RBI, .333/.359/.722, +0.4 WAR
Torres was a huge part of the Brisas offense last year and he has started this season off very well. In Sim #2 he started in 5 games and slashed .400/.455/.355 with 4 doubles, 2 HR, and 5 RBI. If Buenos Aires can get some bats going around Roberto things might look kinda good.
Sim #2: P Marvin Winston, LF Roberto Torres
Sim #1: P David bin Adnan, LF Roberto Torres
