Buenos Aires Brisas 3-10 .231 9 GB L10: 2-8 Strk: W1
# of sheep delays: 1 (visiting team dugout)

Aaaaannddd there it is. A 1-6 Sim smashes tiny dreams of a .500-ish season. The Brisas are back to the bottom of the GBC. Now, they only lost the 6 games by an average just over 2. The pitching is much, much improved from 2055 thus far. Buenos Aires is 4th in runs against, 3rd in starters ERA and bullpen ERA. Offense is dragging the team and that was expected to a certain extent. GM Ben Teague is working hard to lower the burden going to the FA well and grabbing 3B Bert Cleaver, and welcoming back injured players like LF Bartolomej Lorinc and 1B César Torres. The team is also missing the services of 1B Talbot Purcell. But who wants to hear excuses, right?

Sydney 3-5 L
Sydney 1-5 L
Sydney 1-3 L
Sydney 2-3 L

Can we see what's clearly ailing this team right now? That's made even better by the fact that one pitcher allowed all 5 of Sydney's runs in the 1-5 loss on the 9th. Starter SP Marvin Winston went 7 innings in the 3-5 loss but allowed 3 runs on only 4 hits. The 2-3 loss was a specific sting as new P Deron Alexander tossed 6 innings of shutout ball only to have that spoiled by the back of the bullpen allowing all 3 of Sydney's runs in the 8th & 9th innings.

@ Tokyo 2-4 L
@ Tokyo 1-4(17) L
@ Tokyo 4-2 W

The Brisas only allowed 3.7 runs per game, not spectacular but solid, but again the offense was toothless. The one run scored in the 1-4 loss was the first run of the contest and came in the 9th inning, but SP José Castro allowed the tying run in the bottom of the frame. Castro is having early season jitters (we guess) but he needs to look in the mirror to see rookie CL Baz Badr coming for his job.

So the Brisas have lost all 4 series thus far including being swept by Sydney at home. Be better.
