Recapped here, Sim #1 wasn't terribly cruel to the Brisas at 2-4 but not especially positive, either. The pitching gave up just too many runs and the offense just couldn't surge over the hump to win more close games.
BRISAS OF THE SIM - SIM #1
Pitcher
23yo P David bin Adnan
2055 (AAA): 27 G, 12 GS, 7-4, 1 SV, 115.0 IP, 2.35 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, +1.9 WAR
David bin Adnan was welcomed back to the Brisas 'pen by being handed 6.2 innings over 3 games. He allowed only 1 run, fanned 3, and walked only 1 batter. The righty was a late addition to this year's bullpen but has started to make a case to stay.
Batter
30yo LF Roberto Torres
2055: 154 G, 149 GS, 645 PA, 35 2B, 4 3B, 21 HR, 67 RBI, 30 SB, +0.9 WAR
Torres got his 2056 started on some kind of pace bagging 8 hits, including 4 doubles and 2 HR, and 5 RBI to go with 8 runs scored. This is the kind of production that will hold everything together until guys like Purcell and Burr make their way back from injuries.
