Bomb Brisas

Buenos Aires, Argentina
**********************************
The Brisas were at the very bottom of the league in nearly every offensive category though they did reach #6 in HRs & walks. They were also 4th in stolen bases...which is impressive if you consider they got on base at the lowest rate of anyone.
AVG - .248 (8th)
OBP - .305 (8th)
OPS - .688 (8th)
Runs Scored - 653 (8th)
HRs - 152 (6th)
BRISAS OF THE YEAR - BATTER
3B Roberto Torres
154 G, 35 2B, 4 3B, 21 HR, 67 RBI, .244/.321/.429, 30 SB, +0.9 WAR
Torres was really the Brisas only true monster to plan to approach if you don't count 1B Odemar Lock's late surge after arriving from London. With 4 3B to go with 35 2B and 30 SB, it's a sad reflection on Buenos Aires that Torres only had 67 RBI. Torres is intent on testing the FA market this offseason and he will be a prize up for grabs.
1B Odemar Lock
143 G, 15 2B, 35 HR, 73 RBI, .251/.340/.496, 0 SB, +2.7 WAR
Again, a full year of this Lock is a force, but he was a wilting away in London until June and somehow found some inspiration for the final half of 2055.
3B Bert Cleaver
158 G, 37 2B, 25 HR, 91 RBI, .250/.279/.439, +1.7 WAR
Bert Cleaver completes the "Brisas Competent Three" who will be departing Buenos Aires in the offseason of their own accord. It's hard to imagine where GM Ben Teague can find this kind of replacement production. Cleaver was a great producer of doubles, like Lock & Torres, and got the closest to 100 RBI in logging 91.
