Teague Sends 2B José Rodríguez to Cairo for Prospects

The Pharaohs are contending for the GBC crown and had need of a better bat at 2B. With Rodríguez likely to test FA the Brisas were looking to get what they could for him before the end of the season. The two needs happened to click and the GMs were quick to make a deal.
Rodríguez arrived in Buenos Aires June 30th in the Lock/Roka trade with London. He has slashed .265/.312/.455 in 2055 with 14 2B, 14 HR, 59 RBI, and 22 stolen bases. He'll man second base for the Pharaohs as they hope to surge to a playoff spot. Rodríguez was drafted as the overall 13th pick by the Boise Studs in 2041.
Buenos Aires receives two young prospects in 20 yo RHP Baz Badr and 17yo 1B Sachdev Yajpeyi. The latter will likely be prepped for a corner OF role, while the former will be expected to fill out the movement on his pitches before moving up.
