GM Teague finishes deal with London

The GBC league office verified today that the Buenos Aires Brisas and London Monarchs have completed what is almost a blockbuster-level trade. As mentioned in our last article, Teague faces some tough choices in planning for the future as well as getting value for many of the players that will be moving on after this season.

The Monarchs deal was partly aimed at rectifying that as All-Star CF Joshua Koka joins London still looking to be an FA after his $10m 2055 as well as AAA hurler Michihiro Tanaka. It did exact a high price from the Brisas as SP Ielemia Faletose was sent along the Thames. Faletose is only making $1.05m this season and has 2 more seasons under team control, but his salary does jump to $4.0m so Teague will have more room to maneuver. Prospect P Pedro Sánchez was also included in the package.

In return, Teague landed an interesting package of his own. 1B Odemar Lock comes to town, but with just 1-year left on his $10.2m salary he will be off the books this coming offseason. The Brisas also receive SP Jeremy Donahue and 2B José 'Tiny Bubbles' Rodríguez.

Prospects gained by Buenos Aires include P José Méndez and P Abdel Abdul-Samad.
