SOFIA -

Fans and staffers alike were stunned to learn of the disappearance of affable CSKA Army GM Jackson Schilling. Missing for several weeks, the club had been left rudderless in the midst of a remarkably competitive inaugural season.

Details are scarce as of press time, but the ballclub did release a brief statement thanking Schilling for his service and wishing him well in future endeavors.

Notoriously fickle Owner Omer bin Hakim, was all smiles at the team's facilities while introducing the new GM Greg Smothers, and import from the American city of Atlanta.

"We expect big things from Craig. He's not the brightest guy, and not as good looking as those real Smothers Brothers, but he'll do in a pinch" remarked bin Hakim.

For his part, Smothers took the jibes all in stride, sticking to typical baseball speak with the usual platitudes about building the organization the right way and making the fans proud. Smothers did not take questions, saying he needed to get to know the team and would make himself available at a later time.

It’s just better not to ask what happens to failed GMs in the UMEBA. Lots of deserts to hide things.
