Raúl González inks deal to be the hitting coach of the Athens Fighting Centaurs, González who in the past as been mainly a manager within baseball stated he couldn't give up the opportunity of working with the likes of Sosa Seki, Quinn Greene and Zephyr Orphanides amongst others.

Rumours are abound that Tsuyoshi Kobayashi is unlikely to return to the Centaurs ball club, Kobayashi is reported to be demanding Tokimasa Yano type numbers to sign a contract extension, something Athens aren't prepared to offer the Japanese infielder.

While everyone knows his skills on the baseball diamond, few people realized that Seu Park has skills in the recording studio too.

The Athens Fighting Centaurs reliever announced today that he will release a rap album.

"It's something I've been interested in for a while and this offseason I just decided to make it official and get it done," he said. "I don't plan on leaving baseball behind quite yet, but I'm hoping this album does well."

The release is self-titled and is expected to be in stores across the country this week. It features Park providing vocals as well as playing instruments.

"I've heard a couple of the songs, it's not half bad," said teammate Steffan Gimsing. "Some of the guys have ribbed Seu about his music before, but I don't think anyone's laughing now."

Athens plunged into free agency quickly with the signings of Marian Muntean, Zander Fikias, Won-ho Park and Fawwaz Amin. Although all four were signed to minor league contracts it's thought all four will start in the active roster, it's thought the move to sign them to minor league contracts was to make time to sort the 40 man situation out.
