The rapidness of the last few sims, and work being a little busy, has caused me to fall behind in my efforts to highlight the top moment of each sim. So let's back track to sim 3, a sim that saw the club go 2-4 and continue to flounder around as the worst team in the Frick League.

Kate's Kookies Moment of the Sim

The moment from sim 3 was a pretty anti-climactic moment. Portland was hosting Long Beach in the sim finale. Portland was clinging to a 2-0 lead heading into the 7th inning when Austin Nolan homered off Portland starter Steffan Gimsing to cut the lead in half at 2-1. Mons Raider went to the bullpen and called upon stopper Byron Ratcliffe. What Ratcliffe did from that point on helped secure the win and salvage a respectable sim for the Lumberjacks.

Ratfcliffe would allow just 1 hit over the next 3 innings while striking out a pair to secure his second save of the season. He retired 9 batters while throwing just 31 pitches.

"Guys just couldn't make good contact off me tonight" Ratcliffe said after the game. "They put it in play and my guys made the plays behind me."

Ratfcliffe recorded a ground out, strikeout, and weak fly out in his first inning of work. Got a pair of flyballs to the outfield and an infield pop-up in his second inning, also the inning he surrendered a 2-out single. He got the first two outs in the 9th on infield pop-ups before pumping in 3 straight strikes to Emilio Reyes to nail down the save and win for the Lumberjacks. We'll make the 3rd and final swinging strike this Sim's Kate's Kookie's Moment of the Sim
