HAMMERS OF THE SIM - SIM #18
Jerusalem Hebrew Hammers 60 57 .513 6.5 GB
6 games: 2-4

Well, that's one way to shed the "mediocre" label. The Hammers dropped the last game of the Athens series then lost 2 of 3 in Beirut. They did manage to open a long home stand with a 13-1 beatdown of Baghdad, but fumbled the 2nd game of the series. More importantly, the Hammers went from 3.5 GB in the league to 6.5. The fat lady is warming up it seems.

21yo SP Leon Ludeman

Oh, young man, have a night! In Jerusalem's 13-1 victory over the Baghdad Kings, Ludeman tossed a CG. He was stellar allowing only 3 hits, walking 1, and racking up 5 K's. Find out what he had for breakfast and make sure that is served every day the rest of the year.

27yo 2B Richard Drouin

Meanwhile, the veteran Drouin got in some of the offensive fun racking up 4 doubles and 4 RBI. That was with a .571/.500/.600 slash. But trust me, there was no shortage of candidates for the nod this week.
